Akure, Ondo state - Joy Omoyeni, the best-graduating student at Telnet International School, Akure, Ondo state, and overall best student in the state, has been awarded a N2.5 million scholarship. The scholarship was awarded to Omoyeni for her undergraduate studies by VDT Communications, according to a report by Guardian Nigeria.

The exemplary performance and academic brilliance displayed by Omoyeni were applauded by Biodun Omoniyi, the Group Managing Director of VDT Communications. Omoniyi urged the young scholar to remain focused and continue striving for excellence in her chosen field of study.

In addition to the scholarship award, VDT Communications also offered Omoyeni a spot for internship training whenever the time comes. This opportunity will provide her with valuable hands-on experience in her desired field of Computer Engineering.

With her sights set on acquiring advanced knowledge in Computer Engineering, Omoyeni has expressed her desire to pursue her undergraduate studies at Covenant University. Meanwhile, Musa Isa Salmanu, father of Isa (Imamu) Salmanu, who achieved outstanding results in the 2023 West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE), shared his perspective on motivating his son to excel academically. Shining brightly in the examination, Salmanu scored an impressive A1 in all nine subjects he sat for.

In an interview with Legit.ng, Isa's father, Musa, a chieftain of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) and one-time Kaduna State House of Assembly aspirant, emphasized the importance of instilling a sense of motivation and aspiration in their children. He revealed that their family constantly encourages and supports their "golden asset" to realize his full potential.

The release of the 2023 WASSCE results revealed exceptional performances by several students who achieved A1 parallel in all subjects. This feat signifies the dedication and hard work put forth by these students in their pursuit of academic excellence.
