Delta Governor's Wife Launches 'You Matter Charity Foundation' to Support Children with Autism
Wife of the Delta Governor, Deaconess Tobore Oborevwori, has launched the 'You Matter Charity Foundation' to support vulnerable individuals, especially children with autism. The foundation aims to advocate for accessible healthcare and education, women empowerment, the elimination of gender-based violence and drug abuse. It will also carry out outreach programs to impact rural communities in the state.

Lagos, August 3rd - The wife of the Delta Governor, Deaconess Tobore Oborevwori, has introduced her pet project, the 'You Matter Charity Foundation', with a key focus on helping vulnerable individuals in society, particularly children with autism.

The non-governmental and non-profit organization is aligned with Governor Oborevwori's M.O.R.E Agenda for Deltans. It aims to create a society where everyone feels valued, regardless of their background, under the motto 'Everybody is Somebody'.

The 'You Matter Charity Foundation' will advocate for accessible healthcare and the right to education for every child. It also aims to empower women, eliminate gender-based violence and drug abuse, and carry out various outreaches to impact rural dwellers across all communities in the state.

In her plea for support during a meeting with the wives of honorable members of the State Assembly and chairpersons of the 25 local government areas, Deaconess Tobore Oborevwori emphasized the need for collaboration from well-meaning individuals and corporate organizations. She appealed for donations to run the project effectively and provide necessary programs around the state.

"Get ready and join the train so we can reach our brothers and sisters at the grassroots," she said. "We believe that with a sincere show of concern and expression of love for the vulnerable, they will become valuable and create a world where everybody is somebody."

The wives of the lawmakers led by the wife of the Honourable Speaker, Mrs. Timiebi Guwor, and the Chairperson of Chairpersons, Mrs. Rachel Onoyake, expressed their gratitude for the successful assumption of office by the Governor's wife. They pledged their support and commitment to the pet project and prayed for the success of Governor Oborevwori's administration.

The launch of the 'You Matter Charity Foundation' is a commendable effort to address the needs of vulnerable individuals, especially children with autism, in Delta State. By focusing on healthcare, education, women empowerment, and highlighting issues such as gender-based violence and drug abuse, the foundation aims to create a more inclusive and compassionate society.

Autism is a developmental disorder that affects communication and behavior. Children with autism often require specialized care and support to reach their full potential. The 'You Matter Charity Foundation' aims to bridge the gaps in healthcare and education for these children, ensuring they receive the necessary assistance to thrive.

Furthermore, by advocating for women empowerment and fighting against gender-based violence, the foundation acknowledges the importance of equality and respect for all individuals. Women play a crucial role in society, and their empowerment is vital for the overall progress and well-being of communities.

The fight against drug abuse is also essential, as it poses a significant threat to the physical and mental health of individuals, particularly the youth. By addressing this issue, the 'You Matter Charity Foundation' aims to create a safer and healthier environment for all.

With its outreach programs, the foundation will be able to reach individuals in rural areas who may have limited access to resources and support. By bringing healthcare, education, and awareness campaigns to these communities, the 'You Matter Charity Foundation' can make a meaningful impact on the lives of many.

It is crucial for individuals, organizations, and the broader community to support these initiatives and contribute to the success of the 'You Matter Charity Foundation'. Together, we can create a more inclusive society where everyone feels valued, and nobody is left behind.
