Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Chieftain, Chief Sunny Onuesoke, commends the remarkable achievements of Delta State Governor Sheriff Oborevwori within the first 100 days of his administration. Onuesoke highlights the governor's efforts in prioritizing the welfare of civil servants, infrastructure development, crisis management, and providing palliatives for the people during challenging times. He expresses optimism for a promising future under Governor Oborevwori's leadership.

Lagos, September 9th - Chief Sunny Onuesoke, a Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Chieftain and former Delta State Gubernatorial aspirant, has commended the noteworthy achievements of Delta State Governor Sheriff Oborevwori within his first 100 days in office. Onuesoke stated that the governor's accomplishments align with his MORE (Making Our Roads Easier) agenda and deserve to be celebrated.

Speaking at the Asaba International Airport upon his return from a climate change conference in Lagos, Onuesoke praised the swift pace of Governor Oborevwori's achievements. He emphasized that within this short period, the governor prioritized the welfare of civil servants, retirees, and initiated a people-centered approach to governance by appointing representatives from each of the three senatorial districts of the state.

During his first 100 days in office, Governor Oborevwori focused on infrastructure development, resulting in the construction of more than 117 kilometers of roads, bridges, and approximately 85 kilometers of drainage systems across the state. These projects, along with over 400 inherited from the previous administration, have either been completed and ready for commissioning or are in advanced stages of completion.

Onuesoke personally inspected the various projects across the state and applauded the governor's attention to Warri, the economic capital of Delta State. He extended his appreciation for the governor's dedication to fostering peaceful coexistence among communities, particularly in handling the recent crisis between Aladja and Ogbeh Ijoh communities. Governor Oborevwori's non-kinetic strategy in settling the dispute has brought hope for enduring peace in Delta State.

The issue of palliatives was not neglected by the governor's administration. Onuesoke acknowledged that during the challenging times of oil subsidy removal and fuel price increase, Governor Oborevwori implemented measures to alleviate the hardship faced by the people. These measures included increasing workers' salaries and introducing shifts and work-from-home options for the state's workforce. Plans to introduce electric vehicles to address transportation difficulties are also in progress.

While acknowledging that 100 days is a relatively short period for a comprehensive assessment, Onuesoke emphasized the governor's impressive early achievements and his administration's commitment to good governance and prosperity. He expressed optimism for a brighter future, urging Governor Oborevwori to continue working towards his MORE Agenda and appointing more competent individuals to propel further achievements.

In conclusion, the impactful strides made by Delta State Governor Sheriff Oborevwori within his first 100 days in office are commendable. His dedication to the welfare of civil servants, infrastructure development, crisis management, and providing palliatives reflects a beacon of hope for the people of Delta State. With sustained efforts and the support of Deltans, the governor's administration is poised to deliver on its promise of good governance and prosperity.
