The National Association of Edo State Students (NAESS) has showered praises on Governor Godwin Obaseki for his remarkable efforts in infrastructure development in the state. Led by their National President, Mr. Aliu Emmanuel, the students' executive members visited the Government House in Benin to express their gratitude to the governor.

Emmanuel, during the visit, acknowledged the positive changes that have occurred in Edo State since Governor Obaseki assumed office. He highlighted the development of the Secretariat building along Sapele road as a notable achievement.

"Just look at the beautiful conference hall of the Secretariat building where we are being received today," Emmanuel noted, showcasing the impressive infrastructure.

Furthermore, the NAESS President emphasized the association's commitment to supporting any government that prioritizes the welfare of the people. They believe in correcting past errors and reestablishing a strong relationship with the state government.

The governor, represented by the Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Youth and Humanitarian Affairs, Eire Ifueko Alufohai, commended the students for their dedication to the welfare of the Edo child. He urged them to remain focused on their objective and avoid being manipulated by external forces.

In a similar vein, Mr. Scott Ogunseri, the first Edo President of the Niger Delta Students Union Government, reaffirmed the union's support for the ongoing infrastructure development in the state. Ogunseri and his executive members also conveyed their admiration for Governor Obaseki and the first lady's contributions to student welfare.

While congratulating the students on their victory, Alufohai encouraged the association to promote greater female participation in their activities. She emphasized that the interest of the Niger Delta students should be above partisan politics.

Responding to the encouragement, Alufohai noted, "We are proud of the youths of the Niger Delta. Until we are able to save the country, do not relax and always let your voice be heard in the right way."

The commendations from the Edo State students highlight the positive impact of Governor Godwin Obaseki's administration. His commitment to infrastructural development and restoration of sanity in the state has received widespread appreciation, with various student bodies and unions expressing their support for his efforts.
