Paramount Ruler of Ebira Land Assures Governorship Candidates of Open Palace
The Paramount ruler of Ebira Land, Alhaji Dr. Ado Ibrahim, has assured all the governorship candidates in the November 11 election that his palace is open to all candidates. The Ohinoyi of Ebira emphasized the need for candidates to pursue their ambitions with respect to the law and without fear in mind. This gesture demonstrates the traditional ruler's commitment to fostering a fair and inclusive political environment in Ebira Land.

The paramount ruler of Ebira Land, Alhaji Dr. Ado Ibrahim, has extended an open invitation to all governorship candidates vying for the upcoming November 11 election. This announcement was made during a meeting at his Azad palace in Okene with the candidate of the Social Democratic Party (SDP), Alhaji Murtala Ajaka.

Receiving Ajaka's campaign train, the Ohinoyi expressed his blessings and emphasized that his palace is open to all the candidates. He encouraged Ajaka and the other candidates to pursue their ambitions with respect for the law and without fear in mind.

"I am a father, and by age, I will be 95 very soon. What else am I looking for? What's there to disturb my life, fear or what? Fear itself is afraid if you don't fear. Hard work and courage make a man stronger. Do what you think is right, not what you have been pushed to do. I'm here for everybody, this is your home anytime you come here," said Alhaji Dr. Ado Ibrahim, the Ohinoyi of Ebira Land.

The Ohinoyi, being one of the oldest traditional rulers in the state and a prominent figure in Northern Nigeria, carries immense influence. By opening his palace to all candidates, he is setting a precedent for a fair and inclusive political atmosphere in Ebira Land.

Furthermore, the Ohinoyi urged the candidates to develop the abundant resources present in the state, regardless of who emerges as the next governor. The entourage was also reminded to respect the law and President Bola Tinubu.

The candidate of SDP, Alhaji Murtala Ajaka, expressed his gratitude for the opportunity to visit the palace and seek the Ohinoyi's royal blessings. He initially intended to visit Okene town earlier, but had to cancel the trip due to security concerns.

In his address, Ajaka mentioned his aspirations to bring positive change to Kogi state and particularly Okene. He emphasized the need to rejuvenate the town, focusing on infrastructure improvements such as intercity and township road reconstruction and the implementation of functional drainages.

Ajaka also highlighted the importance of unity, stating that his campaign is not based on ethnic grounds but rather on the Kogi agenda. He stressed his commitment to bringing the people of the state together, regardless of their backgrounds.

"We are in this race to unite the state. We are not running on ethnic ground; we are running on the Kogi agenda, and by the grace of God with your blessing, that is what we shall do if we are successful come November 11," affirmed Alhaji Murtala Ajaka.

The meeting between the Ohinoyi of Ebira Land and Alhaji Murtala Ajaka signifies a step towards a more inclusive and supportive political environment. The assurance of an open palace for all governorship candidates demonstrates the Ohinoyi's commitment to ensuring a fair and transparent election process in Ebira Land. This gesture sets a positive precedent for future electoral contests and highlights the importance of respect, courage, and unity.
