Wives of Local Government Chairmen Urged to Support the Renewed Hope Initiative
Chief (Mrs) Titilola Adeleke, wife of the Osun State Governor, has called on the wives of Local Government Chairmen to support the Renewed Hope Initiative, a pet programme of the First Lady of the Federation, Senator Oluremi Tinubu. The initiative focuses on the betterment of women and children, primarily in the areas of education, health, and agriculture. Mrs Adeleke emphasized the importance of women's participation in agriculture and the need for quality education for children, especially the girl child.

In an interactive meeting held at the Local Government Service Commission Multipurpose Hall in Abere, Chief (Mrs) Titilola Adeleke, the wife of the Osun State Governor, highlighted the significance of the Renewed Hope Initiative and urged the wives of Local Government Chairmen to actively support and promote its goals across their respective Local Government Areas.

The Renewed Hope Initiative, spearheaded by First Lady of the Federation, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, aims to enhance the well-being of women and children, with a particular focus on education, health, and agriculture. During the interactive session, Mrs Adeleke stressed the pivotal role these three areas play in ensuring sustainable development for women and children in Osun State and Nigeria as a whole.

Mrs Adeleke encouraged women to actively engage in agriculture, highlighting its potential to alleviate unemployment and hunger. By cultivating the available land around them, women can create opportunities for growth and contribute to their local communities. Additionally, she underscored the importance of prioritizing the education of children, especially girls, as they are the future leaders of the nation.

The meeting witnessed enthusiastic responses from other dignitaries, including Deaconess OIusola Adewusi, wife of the Deputy Governor of Osun State, and Mrs Fatimoh Oyewusi, who represented the wife of the Speaker of Osun State. They expressed their appreciation to Senator Ademola Adeleke, the Governor of Osun State, for his unwavering commitment to the welfare of women and children.

Mrs Adeleke urged the wives of Local Government Chairmen to replicate the knowledge and awareness gained during the meeting in their respective areas. She called on them to empower women through agriculture, educate them about the importance of education and good health for themselves and their children.

Highlighting the meeting's significance, Dr Moji Aina, the wife of the Head of Service, emphasized the importance of education for children, emphasizing that it lays the foundation for a brighter future.
