ABUJA - Nigeria's First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, has called for a renewed focus on nation building by all stakeholders now that the 'politicking' phase is over. Speaking during a visit from the wives of the newly inaugurated Ministers, she emphasized the crucial role of women in bringing healing and progress to the nation. Tinubu's pet project, Renewed Hope Initiative (RHI), is also gearing up to donate N1 million each to 500 displaced families in Mangu, Plateau State.

The First Lady stressed the importance of realizing the prospect Nigeria holds, reminiscent of the country's colonial past, where our colonial masters saw potential and brought us all together. Now, more than ever, it is time for that potential to materialize. With the conclusion of politics, she affirms that building lives is tantamount to building our nation. Nigeria belongs to all of us, transcending party affiliations.

Tinubu's Renewed Hope Initiative has already made significant strides within the first 100 days of President Bola Tinubu's administration. Some of the notable achievements include awarding scholarships to 43 Nigerian students in tertiary institutions and providing ICT training and empowerment to women in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).

"We have a tremendous amount of work to do together. I urge you all to be available to assist with the initiatives we have in Nigeria. Creating a better life for families is our shared goal, but we must determine the best approach. Transforming lives is of utmost importance," stressed the First Lady.

Addressing the wives of the Ministers, she called upon them to continue supporting their husbands and strive to make them proud in all their endeavors. Mrs. Susan Lokpobiri, wife of the Minister for Petroleum Resources and leader of the visiting team, expressed the forum's commitment to supporting the First Lady's vision for Nigeria and President Bola Tinubu's Renewed Hope Agenda for Nigeria. She also extended her congratulations to the First Lady on the President's victory at the Presidential Election Tribunal.

This visit highlights the collaborative efforts of women in Nigerian politics and the determination to contribute towards nation building. The First Lady's call for unity and healing resonates with many citizens, emphasizing the need to put Nigeria's interests above party affiliations.
