Out of the 70 buses, 30 will be dedicated to conveying civil servants to their workplaces during peak hours from 7:00 am to 9:00 am and returning from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm on weekdays. This initiative is part of the government's efforts to alleviate the suffering caused by the removal of fuel subsidy.

During the inauguration, Governor Zulum commended the management of Borno Express for their transformative work at the Maiduguri terminus and their commitment to improving the welfare of both serving and retired staff. He expressed his satisfaction with the timely payment of staff entitlements.

In addition to the buses, the Governor also unveiled newly constructed structures and remodeled buildings at the terminus. These structures will serve as accommodation for travelers and provide space for businesses such as restaurants and offices.

The General Manager of Borno Express, Mohammed Grema, highlighted that all the construction projects were funded with internal revenue generated by the company. This highlights the commitment of the management to self-sustainability and the improvement of services.
