Oyo State Independent Electoral Commission Confirms 18 Political Parties for Local Government Council Elections

The Oyo State Independent Electoral Commission (OYSIEC) has announced that 18 registered political parties will participate in the local government council elections taking place on April 27, 2024. Chairman of the Commission, Isiaka Abiola Olagunju (SAN), revealed this information during a television programme in Ibadan.

Olagunju further stated that the Commission has received the names of candidates from the political parties and is currently preparing to conduct screenings to verify their eligibility.
