PDP Dares Traditional Rulers in Nasarawa State

LAFIA - The Nasarawa State chapter of the opposition People's Democratic Party (PDP) on Sunday dared some selected traditional rulers in the state, who were out to prevent the outcome of the tribunal to stay away and allow justice to take its cause.

In a press briefing held in Lafia, the state capital, Francis Orogu, the state chairman of the opposition PDP, expressed the party's dissatisfaction with the involvement of traditional rulers in political matters. He stated that these traditional rulers had taken positions before, during, and after the election, with concerted efforts to ensure that David Umbugado and the PDP do not receive justice at the tribunal.

Orogu highlighted the actions of three traditional rulers who were seen at the office of Vice President Kashim Shettiman. These rulers, former High Court Judges, have allegedly made all contacts necessary to lobby in favor of Governor Sule and obstruct justice at the tribunal, using their influence and past judicial positions.
