Enugu Youths Protest against Sit-at-Home Order, Support Mazi Nnamdi Kanu
Enugu youths took to the streets in a peaceful protest to express their support for Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, leader of Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), in his call to end the illegal sit-at-home order in the South-East region. The youths carried placards with various inscriptions highlighting the negative impact of the sit-at-home on education, mental health, and economic progress. They urged fellow youths to desist from supporting the sit-at-home, emphasizing the need for a brighter and prosperous future.

Enugu youths have expressed their support for Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), by taking to the streets in a peaceful protest against the sit-at-home order in the South-East region. The protest, organized by Enugu Innovative Youths, aimed to emphasize the negative consequences of the sit-at-home on education, mental health, and economic progress.

The streets of Enugu metropolis were filled with passionate youths carrying placards with powerful inscriptions such as "Even Mazi Nnamdi Kanu is Against Sit-at-Home" and "Sit-at-Home Discourages Economic Progress." The protest march covered major roads and streets, including Okpara Square Road, Presidential Road, Owerri Road, Ogui Road, Lagos Street, and Basiala Road.

Comrade Edeani Maduabuchi Edeani, the leader of Enugu Innovative Youths, addressed the crowd and reiterated Mazi Nnamdi Kanu's stand against the sit-at-home order. He emphasized that the illegal sit-at-home had brought untold hardship and poverty to Enugu State and the entire South-East region.

In his speech, Edeani stated, "The illegal sit-at-home is causing so much havoc and making our education, health, and economic institutions not function optimally. Our people are counting their losses as individuals, groups, and corporate entities. We cannot continue this way."

The Enugu youth leader urged all youths in Enugu State and the South-East to refrain from supporting the anti-progressive and illegal sit-at-home. He called it a wrong path that would truncate the future and prospects of the youth.

Mr. Ebube Nebo, another youth leader, echoed the sentiments of Edeani and the grievances of the Enugu youths. Nebo stressed that the sit-at-home was gradually becoming a major obstacle to human and economic development in the region. He highlighted the negative impact on education, employment, and entrepreneurial prospects for the youth.

"As youths, we are suffering. It is not just about what the Enugu State Governor is saying; we are indeed feeling the pains of our deprivation and loss caused by the illegal sit-at-home. It has affected our education, employment, and entrepreneurial prospects, while our parents in the villages and suburbs are living in untold hardship," Nebo expressed.

The Enugu youths' protest also served as a call for the Federal Government to heed the court order and release Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, a move that they believe will reinvigorate the South-East and put an end to the manipulation by a few hoodlums.

The involvement of youths in the peaceful protest signifies their desire for a brighter future, free from the negative influences of the sit-at-home order. They have shown their commitment to progress, economic prosperity, and the unity of the South-East region.

It remains to be seen how the sit-at-home order will evolve in the coming days, but the voices of the Enugu youths have been heard, and their concerns regarding education, mental health, and economic progress have been brought to the forefront.

As the South-East navigates through these challenging times, it is crucial for all stakeholders to engage in constructive dialogue and find sustainable solutions that will address the concerns raised by the youths while promoting peace, unity, and progress in the region.
