Mallam Mohammed Rabi'u Wada has been elected as the Chairman of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR), Bauchi State Chapter for the next two years. Mallam Mohammed, who is the Deputy Registrar of Public Relations at the Federal Polytechnic Bauchi, expressed his gratitude for the support and pledged to build on the achievements of past leaders. The outgoing Chairman, Mr Kabiru Kobi, also commended the immediate past executives and highlighted the importance of professional communication in enhancing relationships with the public and organizations.

Bauchi, Nigeria - The Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR), Bauchi State Chapter, has elected Mallam Mohammed Rabi'u Wada as the chairman of its affairs for the next two years. The election, which took place during the 2023 annual general meeting (AGM) held in Bauchi, also saw Dr. Nazifi Abba Pali of Abubakar Tatari Ali Polytechnic Bauchi elected as the vice chairman.

Mallam Mohammed Rabi'u Wada is the Deputy Registrar of Public Relations at the Federal Polytechnic Bauchi. In his capacity as the newly elected Chairman of the Bauchi State Chapter of NIPR, he expressed his gratitude to the members for their overwhelming support. He pledged to consolidate on the achievements of past leaders and take the institute to even greater heights.

The chairman of the Elders Advisory Council of the chapter, Mallam Muhammad Inuwa Bello, commended the outgoing executives for providing a level playing ground for the council to be vibrant. This acknowledgment reflects the hard work and dedication of the former executives, who created an enabling environment for effective leadership.

In his inaugural address, Mallam Mohammed Rabi'u Wada called for cooperation, support, and prayers as he takes up the leadership mantle. He emphasized the importance of unity and collaboration among members for the progress of the chapter. Mallam Mohammed recognized the significance of the NIPR in fostering strong relationships between public relations professionals, the public, and organizations in Bauchi State.

The newly elected Chairman also acknowledged the role played by the outgoing Chairman, Mr. Kabiru Kobi, in advancing the objectives of the council. Mr. Kobi expressed his appreciation to the members for their support during his tenure, highlighting the positive impact the council has had in both the public and private sectors in the state.

During the AGM, Hajiya Amina Katagum, a keynote speaker, stressed the importance of professionalism in public relations. She urged members of the institute to communicate effectively and professionally with the public and organizations to enhance the needed relationships.

Other executive members who were returned unopposed include Mohammed Tanimu Gambo, who will serve as the secretary representing the Public Relations Unit of the Federal Polytechnic Bauchi, Abdulkadir Shehu as the assistant secretary representing the Public Relations Unit of Abubakar Tatari Ali Polytechnic Bauchi, Muslim Lawal as the public relations officer, Hassan Ismail as the financial secretary, Mrs. Aisha Bamai as the treasurer, and Shamsu Dauda as the auditor.

The election of Mallam Mohammed Rabi'u Wada as the Chairman of the NIPR Bauchi State Chapter heralds a new era of leadership and presents an opportunity for the institute to continue its impactful work in the field of public relations.
