The All Nigerian Community in Ghana Calls for Unity and Development
The All Nigerian Community (ANC) in Ghana has urged its members to unite and focus on development in order to rescue Nigerians engaged in illegal activities such as commercial sex work. The ANC plans to work closely with the Ghana Immigration Services and other security agencies to combat human trafficking and ensure that Nigerians come to Ghana voluntarily. The organization also calls on the Nigerian High Commission to negotiate with the Ghanaian government for enhanced economic cooperation between the two countries.

The All Nigerian Community (ANC), an organization representing Nigerians living in Ghana, has called for unity and development within its members to tackle the issue of illicit trades involving Nigerian citizens.

During a unity press conference held in Accra, Dr. Albert Asaolu, the President of ANC, highlighted the negative image created by some Nigerians engaged in illegal activities, particularly commercial sex work, in Ghana. He emphasized the need to rescue, repatriate, and reunite these individuals with their families back in Nigeria.

ANC has been actively collaborating with the Ghana Immigration Services and other security agencies to apprehend cartels and individuals involved in human trafficking of Nigerian citizens into Ghana. By doing so, ANC aims to ensure that Nigerians come to Ghana willingly and do not resort to illegal activities to support themselves.

Addressing the press, Dr. Asaolu appealed to the Ghanaian government to urge law enforcement agencies to handle Nigerians residing in Ghana with mercy. He emphasized that attributing all crimes to Nigerians creates an unfair perception, which hampers the overall relationship between the two countries.

To foster stronger ties between Ghana and Nigeria, Dr. Asaolu urged the Nigerian High Commission to negotiate with the Ghanaian government for favorable conditions facilitating the free flow of businesses and citizens. The goal is to establish Ghana and Nigeria as the economic hub of Africa and the world.

In addition to diplomatic efforts, ANC plans to organize trade fairs, peace summits, and economic summits each year. These initiatives will not only boost economic cooperation between the two countries but also enhance mutual understanding and peace.

Dr. Asaolu stressed the importance of thinking inward and focusing on improving the economies of both Ghana and Nigeria. With a combined population that is still less than a fourth of India's population, there is immense potential for growth and development. Although challenges may arise, he firmly believes that every challenge has a solution.

Moving forward, the ANC aims to tackle the issue of illicit trades, improve the image of Nigerians in Ghana, and work towards the economic prosperity of both countries. Through collaboration and unity, ANC envisions Ghana and Nigeria as leading economic powerhouses in Africa and the world.
