During a recent briefing at the Command Headquarters, Police spokesperson SP Benjamin Hundeyin revealed that 13 suspects involved in a range of criminal activities had been apprehended.

Among the suspects were individuals accused of impersonation, armed robbery, drug possession, and sexual assault. The command also recovered a range of evidence, further bolstering the cases against the accused.

An intriguing case emerged when Emmanuel Nwagu, who had posed as the Commissioner of Police during a visit to a police formation in Ikorodu, was arrested. While initially mistaken for a genuine police officer, Nwagu's true identity was uncovered during questioning. A subsequent search of his residence yielded a Deputy Commissioner of Police warrant card and other police paraphernalia.

Another notable arrest involved Ibrahim Bello, who had been masquerading as a lawyer for years. Bello was caught with a portrait advertising his fictitious law firm and claiming expertise in various legal matters.

Ganiyat Oni, a female suspect, was apprehended for possessing a substantial quantity of hard drugs. The police found 97 wraps of colos, 22 wraps of loud, a mixture of loud and Arizona, and a considerable sum of money believed to be from drug sales in her possession.

The police command also arrested armed robbers in possession of locally made pistols, along with wristwatches, phones, and a significant amount of cash. Additionally, the command apprehended John Eze for sexually assaulting a 13-year-old neighbor's daughter in Lekki Phase 1.
